Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, I hope everyone is spending this day of love with family, friends and feeling all the love. This Valentine's Day theme post is all about romance books. We have our regular modern day romances to fantasy romance with soul mates that make my heart melt, and the classic enemies to lovers. We're covering it all. Here are some of my favourite book couples/Book boyfriends!

Modern day romance:

I've been reading quite a few romance books the last few weeks. Alot of them are from Jennifer L Armentrout. To start I'd like to mention the Wait for You series. This series has many books but they are each different stories with the main characters normally introduced in the book before. Wait for You starts with Cam and Avery, following their relationship throughout college, while they open up to each other and dive into their messy pasts. Each book deals with tougher subjects such as rape, domestic abuse, drug abuse, and more. JLA approaches these subjects with serious thought and consideration. These books are almost healing in the way we watch these characters grow and thrive.

Fantasy Romance:

If you want a classic fantasy romance with a bit of a twist, great character development, and self love look no further than Sarah J. Maas. Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses, are the perfect romance gifts wrapped with that fantasy bow that fills all your soulmate needs. Rhysand and Rowan are perfect and nobody can tell me otherwise.

Enemies to lovers:

Looking for a more I love you but I will also stab you type of vibe? Well the winner is a tie between Jennifer L. Armentrout's book From Blood and Ash, and Holly Black's Cruel Prince. Both are wonderfully written, with a bit of spice, love, hatred and alot of knives. Two exciting and page turning reads that I recommend to all my enemies to lovers fans.
