As 2020 comes to an end, I like to look back on everything that has happened. This biggest accomplishment for me obviously was giving birth to my beautiful baby boy Malcolm. Other accomplishments seem much smaller but still hold significant value. For instance, this year I learned more baking techniques and recipes. I also managed to survive months and months without leaving my house aside from essential things like grocery shopping and doctors appointments. But with the lockdown, and then going on maternity leave, I managed to read quite alot. So here is a list of the books I read in 2020!

I started the year off with Harry Potter, I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone all the way through to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (Deathly Hallows is being read now). Such amazing books that really transport me back to my childhood.

I discovered a new author in 2020, Jennifer L Armentrout, I started with her book, From Blood and Ash then proceeded to read the sequel a Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, and very impatiently wait for the third to come out in April. But from there I decided to give another series of hers a try called dark elements starting with White Hot Kiss. I am now 6 chapters away from finishing the third and last book (stay tuned for a review soon).

I also finally took a dive into the Charlene Harris world by reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. I watched the show 'True Blood' when I was in highschool but never got around to reading the books. Wow they really drive the show in a different direction but that's okay both are equally good in their own ways.

Unfortunately, I have to say that I am STILL reading it but 2020 I have been trying to finish Crescent City by Sarah J Maas. I promise I will get through it, just having a hard time getting really into it. But it is my goal to finish it in 2021 I swear!

Alot of my 2020 books have been divided between books I want to read, books I felt I needed to read (pregnancy books), and now books i read to my baby (lots of Dr. Suess).

2020 has definitely been eventful, but I'm ready to say goodbye and welcome 2021. I have my goodreads reading goal set to 30 and I'm ready to tackle it! How have you spent your 2020? Did you hit your reading goal? Do you have a reading goal for 2021?

Happy new year.
