This is a post for all those soon to be mamas out there! With all the excitement that comes with pregnancy there is still alot of questions, concerns, and fears. I found there was nothing better than reading up on everything I could. I wanted to share with you guys my favourite books!

Firstly, the classic, my handbook to all things pregnancy and probably the most amazing book to make you feel like you actually know and understand what is happening. What to Expect When Expecting by Heidi Murkoff. This book is so great I bought it after my first doctors appointment, I knew nothing about pregnancy or what to expect, and this book really helps me figure out what is going on with my body and my baby. I follow along month by month, and it gives me signs and symptoms to look out for, let's me know the different things my baby is learning, doing, and how he/she is growing. I also have the second book What to Expect: The First Year, giving tips and advice for all things babies and toddlers.

Another great book for soon to be parents is Good Dog, Happy Baby - Preparing your dog for the Arrival of your Child a complete guide by Michael Wombacher. This little book helped me so much by offer great tips and tricks for getting Hades ready to introduce him to his little sibling. I know that he is going the best big brother but this book has really helped figure out how to deal with certain situations such as dog toys and baby toys. This book is definitely a must have for soon to be parents with fur babies at home.

Finally, the last book I wanted to mention is The pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies & Toddlers by Anthony F. Porto, MD MPH & Dina M. DiMaggio, MD. This guide is 200 pages of pure gold. As a soon to be mother feeding my child is a huge priority and top concern on my mind 24/7. This book explains everything from breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, starting the solids (whether you are making your own baby food or buying the jars), introducing common allergies, and so much more. I especially love the menus they make up to more understand what your baby needs at the different ages.

So here they are! My 3 favourite books to read while pregnant. Remember as much fun as it is to read pregnancy books, take time to read books that you love, or get a crack at that to be read list. Take time to sit with your belly, enjoy a book and relax because boy do pregnant women need it! I have been taking time to read by actually reading to the baby so he/she can get used to my voice. Currently reading the Harry Potter series to the little bean.

I hope this helped you find some great advice to get you through your pregnancy. I know they have helped me.
